InterLibrary Loans and Document Delivery

What is an InterLibrary Loan (ILL)?

It is a service that offers registered users the possibility to ask other libraries, both Italian and international, for the loan of books not owned by our library. The methods of using this service are governed by Article 6 of the Regulations.

How does it work?

All library members can use the service: students, professors, researchers, technical-administrative staff and those in various roles in the Department. You can make the request via email to biblioteca.orti.poloalessandria@uniupo.it

In the request it is important to indicate name, surname and complete address, in addition to the data relating to the book (title, author, publisher, year of publication).

What is Document Delivery (DD)?

The article supply service (Document Delivery or DD) allows you to receive from other libraries any copies of scientific articles published in journals that our library does not have.

How does it work?

All library members can use the service: students, professors, researchers, technical-administrative staff and those in various roles in the Department. You can make the request exclusively via the NILDE service.

The NILDE service is free, but you must register in order to use it. To register: NILDE

You can make up to 5 requests at a time.

Once the article has arrived and is available in the library, you have 5 working days to collect it.
