Biochemistry of tumours

The lines of research that are developed:

  • signaling mechanisms in tumours and interactions of soluble factors and tumour / host metabolites
  • mechanisms of metabolic reprogramming in tumours, in particular in metastatic melanoma
  • role of NAD metabolism and the enzymes that biosynthesize and consume it; in particular the NAMPT enzyme, in tumour progression and drug resistance
  •  role of the extracellular NAMPT protein in the regulation of responses in different cell types and soluble marker
  • mechanisms of resistance to target therapies and immunotherapy in melanoma
