Biomolecular Mechanisms
The research lines of research developed by the group are:
- cellular wound repair mechanisms and mechanisms of action of healing agents. Signal transduction, role of calcium and phosphorylation cascades (LS3_5);
- malignant mesothelioma: use of natural compounds as antiproliferative agents and their mechanisms of action. Redox mechanisms and calcium channels (LS4_6);
- proteomics and biochemistry of plant systems (LS2_3, LS9_8);
- role of the extracellular HMGB1 protein in the regulation of responses of different cell types (LS1, LS3);
- identification of post-translational modifications of HMGB1 released actively and passively by cells subjected to alternative treatments and stimuli (LS1, LS3);
- photoprotection mechanisms in higher plants (LS2_3);
- mechanisms of resistance to abiotic stress in higher plants (LS2_3).
