Set the ‘forward messages’ function from @uniupo.it (or @studenti.uniupo.it) to an external email address
To set the forwarding of messages to another mailbox you need to:
- access gmail
- at the top right, open Settings. If necessary, click on the "View all settings" button.
- select "forwarding and POP / IMAP" from the dropdown menu
- click on "Add a forwarding address"
- specify the address to forward messages to
- a window will open asking for confirmation, select "proceed"
- A confirmation code is sent to the forwarding destination mailbox to verify authorisation
- open the mail where the messages will be forwarded, find the authorisation message; open and click on the link to confirm forwarding
Please note. Messages marked as spam are not forwarded
There are three solutions to this.
- periodically check the spam of the uniupo.it box
- set a filter on the uniupo.it box that prevents Google from classifying the messages as spam. Obviously, this means that all spam will be forwarded to the destination box.
- disregard spam and risk losing some messages incorrectly marked as spam.
