The Teaching and Student Services Office is located on the second floor of the DiSIT and deals with:

• Calls for teaching contracts, tutoring grants, other financial aid for students
• administrative practices relating to internships
• administrative procedures relating to mobility abroad such as Erasmus + and Free Mover

The Support Unit of the Biology Laboratories is composed of seven specialised technicians who deal with various aspects relating to management of the laboratories:

• use, management and maintenance of the large equipment and instruments of the reference laboratories
• acquisition and processing of experimental data with drafting of technical reports and support for drafting scientific communications
• collaboration in the Department's research projects
• management of support services for research and administration of common laboratory material and instrumentation
• training and management of user turnover for the use of equipment
• support for didactic activities connected to the instruments
• management and support of didactic laboratories
• support for the management of the Department's greenhouses.

The Support Nucleus of the Chemistry Laboratories is composed of six specialised technicians who deal with different aspects in the management of the laboratories:

• use, management and maintenance of large laboratory equipment and instruments
• acquisition and processing of experimental data with drafting of technical reports
• collaboration in research projects of the Department and support for the drafting of scientific communications
• management of support services for research and administration of common laboratory material and instrumentation
• training and management of user turnover for the use of equipment
• support for didactic activities connected to the instruments.

The Support Nucleus of the IT and Physics laboratories includes four technicians and guarantees technical support to the research activities of the teachers of the IT and Physics area.

It deals with some online services for the Department; hosts and guarantees support for some websites of other university departments and centres; manages university services, such as the Online Didactics platform, the online survey system, the streaming server, the videoconference server, and the University web radio.

It also deals with:

• support and assistance for research activities
• support for didactic activities in the laboratory
• activities during internships for high school students
• assistance during remote lessons of the European DMKM master, both for lessons received via videoconference, and for those carried out on site and sent to the other universities involved in the Master
• acquisition and processing of experimental data with collaboration in the drafting of scientific communications
• management and maintenance of the data center where the servers are physically hosted
• management and maintenance of the computer lab and research lab machines
• periodic maintenance of the instrumentation of the physics laboratories
• specialist plant management for physics laboratories
• management and maintenance of the mechanical adjustment laboratory for the creation and repair of small instruments and / or parts of instruments for all the didactic and research laboratories of the facility.
